GMRC is an innovative construction material system that requires no additional surface coating. It is a new composite material formed by combining natural minerals and cement, redefining exterior wall cladding solutions.
Unlike the widely known GRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Cement), which often relies on surface spraying for finishing—especially in Taiwan—GRC coatings tend to peel, crack, or fade within just a few years, leading to significant maintenance costs and aesthetic deterioration.
Conventional repair methods only offer temporary solutions by reapplying surface paint again and again.
But GMRC changes everything.
From the molding stage, GMRC integrates natural minerals and cement into a single, seamless body. The color and texture are formed in the mold, resulting in a unified surface with no need for later spraying or painting.
Whatever texture or surface pattern is desired—GMRC achieves it through mold design, delivering a truly three-dimensional, authentic finish.
Take this project, for example: we used an Italian travertine stone effect. With traditional sprayed methods, you’d only get a dotted, imitation texture. True travertine-like pores and natural depth simply can’t be replicated through paint.
However, with GMRC, the result is astonishingly realistic—virtually indistinguishable from real stone.
Even more impressive:
This project was completed over 8 years ago. Aside from surface dust that can be easily washed away with a high-pressure water jet, the color has remained vivid, with no peeling, no fading, and absolutely no repainting required.
GMRC proudly stands as a material system that can offer a lifetime guarantee.
Its performance not only surpasses traditional GRC, but also rivals the durability and beauty of natural stone.
When choosing a materials supplier, what truly matters is this: how does their 6-year-old or older project look today? Has it retained its texture, integrity, and finish?
Just as people seek eternal youth, the construction world continues to pursue the “immortality” of materials—long-lasting, low-maintenance, and beautiful.
GMRC is a pioneer in that revolution.
Not only does it offer advantages such as cast-in-place capability, no formwork removal, anti-cracking performance, and high stability, it also opens new doors in architectural design and construction.
GMRC has already been selected and implemented in a variety of luxury façade curtain wall projects—including Hermès, LV, Prada, and YSL.
These luxury brands only choose materials that have passed rigorous testing and long-term performance verification.
Internationally, GMRC competes directly with large curtain wall systems and natural stone cladding.
It is truly worth the investment—offering timeless value and weather resistance, making it suitable even for century-grade architectural landmarks.
So, for those who care deeply about the quality and legacy of construction—what kind of material would you choose?
Finally, take a look at this streetscape photo—8 years after installation.
You’ll see that the façade still looks as fresh as it did on day one: no discoloration, no delamination—only the kind of dirt you’d expect on glass, easily washed off.
Stay tuned to HM IMC Construction,
where we’ll continue sharing real-world case studies and hands-on results, letting you witness the true power of material innovation.
